Card Challenge at The Ribbon Girl ~ Spring

Good morning :)

It's time for another Card Challenge at The Ribbon Girl today and the theme is Spring

I loved making this one I did a bit of stencilling and and using guesso to shabby it up!

The papers are older Pion papers and using a Magnolia die I cut Calico flowers behind the main flower on the tag.

Using Vellum

Hello, I just wanted to share a card I made using vellum sewn onto white card, this vellum is so pretty I felt it didn't need much else, so I stamped the greeting 'Remember this moment'
in embossed gold and added White Satin Ribbon, Clear Crystal Hearts & Large Daisies from The Ribbon Girl.

The Beach

Good morning :o) 

It's a cold, bleak day here today, I hope you've got better weather than us, it's so miserable and damp here...

but never mind it's sunny in the craft room because I've made a card with a beach theme to warm myself up, thinking of warmer, sunny days to come (we can hope) 

This one I made using the new Pion Papers called Shoreline Treasures

I've added shells in the corner and blue rhinestones for bubbles

This is a lovely piece of chipboard fishnet panel with cheesecloth & blossoms

With extra shells on one tag and a bottle of shells on the other

...Yes I can definitely feel the warm sun on my body now (or is that the radiator) as long as I don't look out the window I can dream :)

You're Sew Special

  At a time when I was feeling very low, it was the 6th anniversary of my dear sons passing and I couldn't craft because my eyes were swollen and sore after the operation, I received a wonderful gift from a very special lady, a fellow crafter and even though we've never met I couldn't believe the generosity of this lady, crafter's really are the most wonderful, thoughtful people.

So as a thank you I sent this card and she emailed me to say she liked it very much :)

Thank you from the bottom of my heart, I will never forget your kindness.

Something I made during the time my eyes were bad was this little vase, I covered the glass vase with garden twine ( wrapped round and glued on) then added Lace, a pretty Flower, Pearl String & Hemp Twine from The Ribbon Girl

Pink Cherry Blossom

Good morning, just keeping the old blog ticking over with another criss cross card from my draft folder, can't believe I have over 30 cards sitting there, most of which have been there since before Christmas lol, never mind they will come in handy forthcoming challenges no doubt.
So how are you today? hope you are feeling warmer than I am, it's bright & sunny but gone very cold again :(
 I thought it was supposed to be spring! 
Oh well, today's card was made with Pion papers, dusky pink satin ribbon, pretty 'blanche' Lace, both from The Ribbon Girl
blossom flowers are Petaloo called Penny Lane and the die cut bunting is a Penny Black die.

Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia ~ Flower Power

Hello and good afternoon, 
What gorgeous weather we have today
I'm hoping hubby and I can get out today, maybe do a bit of shopping.
It's a Flower Power Challenge today at Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia
and I have made this card for a special lady for her Birthday
normally I would have coloured up a Tilda but as I'm still struggling to see properly I have used some Magnolia stamps and a Magnolia die.

I've used pretty designer papers, Magnolia Christmas Lace Die, Magnolia stamps Postcard and Sentiment, the pretty roses (large and small) and Pink Pearls are from The Ribbon Girl and so is the Dusky Rose Satin Ribbon.

 I recently bought the Martha Stewart  Hydrangeas punch and that's what I used for my little paper flowers and I've put some flower soft into a little glass vial and added that too (love those) The heart is a chipboard piece from Blue Fern Studios.

A saucer of milk ~ Ribbon Girl Challenge ~ Animals

Tomorrow I am going into hospital to get my ongoing eye problem sorted (hopefully) it will be so nice to have my eyesight back to normal, you've probably noticed I haven't used any coloured images for a while, I haven't been able to see them properly to paint them :(

luckily I have a few older ones in my draft folder to use for upcoming challenges. Also tomorrow is the 6th anniversary of our dear son Jason passing away, a very sad day.
