Pirate Tilda and a Special thank you

Hello and good evening,
This is one of the cards I've been working on today, I loved making this card because of these special papers are Maja Design papers and I've been trying to get my hands on these for ages...
then my good friend Arjette helped me find the shop and they arrived today so a very Special Thank you to Arjette (I love my blogging friends, you're so very kind and helpful)
Here's the piccys ...




and the inside...

The Papers are called Life by the sea by Maja Design (love them)
I really had to force myself to cut them I just wanted to look at them all day but I knew they would be perfect for the TOMIC challenge.
I used the Tim Holtz distress tool to distress the edges then layered & sewn them to blue card and I painted the egdes with Tim Holtz crackle paint (Ooh I have had fun today) other embellishments are cheescloth, raffia, anchor charm & blue brad, a piece of cardboard painted edges and added bakers twine and a large blue pearl and the sentiment is 'Best Friends'

    Oh this has to be one of my favs. Though I do love all of your cards. But this is a Pirate Tilda, and I love pirates (Bristol Rovers lol !) Love it. Fab papers, design and texture layers everything. Fab charm too. Zo x

    HI Teresa thank you for the lovely comment on my blog. I love these papers like you it was hard to cut into them but they were so pefect for the Tomic challenge. I'm trying to use everything in my stash these days -otherwise I just keep collecting!!
    I think I got mine from Dies To Die For, the link was on Bev Rochesters blog. I will look for more now I know how gorgeous they are!
    Your card is beautiful, along with lots of others on this blog. I can see how much you love Magnolia's and your colouring is amazing.
